(13 April 1956 – 9 March 2023) was an actor, director, producer, comedian, and screenwriter of Hindi films.

Satish was born on 13 April 1956 in Mahendergarh, Haryana. He graduated from Kirori Mal College, Delhi University in 1972. He was an alumnus of the National School of Drama and the Film and Television Institute of India.

She was married to Shashi Kaushik in 1985. Their son Shanu Kaushik died in 1996 when he was just two years old. In 2012, their daughter Vanshika was born through a surrogate mother.

He died at the age of 66 in Gurugram on 09 March 2023 due to a heart attack. The news of his death was announced by his friend Anupam Kher in the film fraternity. In his last Instagram post, he was last seen celebrating Holi 2023 at Javed Akhtar, Shabana Azmi's house with Ali Fazal, Richa Chadha and Mahima Chaudhary.
